The picture on the CBC page made me think he was wearing an oversized crown at first glance.
I was wondering when this was actually going to happen because I never looked up when it would and I had heard of it so long ago. It would've been nice if it were televised. Nice to know He Poos Clouds won. I was rooting for Wolf Parade too though.
If the $20,000 wasn't going to Blocks, Owen could make a very nice dinner for Wolf Parade, composed of truffles and abalone.

Hooray Owen! You deserve it! I've only heard a little over half of the nominated bands and enjoy all the ones I know, but FF is by far my favorite. Although, yeah, I love Wolf Parade a lot, too. I'm just so glad Owen won.
I think it's funny that most of the people on "Oh No They Didn't" don't even know who most of the bands are, just the bigger ones. You can't bitch if you don't know what you're talking about. *rolls eyes*

Congratu-at-you-lations, Owen! Well-deserved laurels, no doubt about it. And thank you for a completely *transcendental* concert experience in Vancouver just the very next night. Still buzzed on it now, in fact... The voice, by the way, was not at all hoarse, despite your previous late night of "revelries".
