Dear Owen,
I've spent too much time the last week or two on Youtube switching between live recordings. What time isn't spent there is used listening to your albums. I can't get enough of your music, especially when it's produced live.
To satisfy this obsession, come to Australia, to Sydney. I need to see you live and I need to take my friends. Surely at some stage time and finances shall permit it. I'll also offer a place to stay, on the condition you do not accept because I'm not serious (it'll be like Passover with my girlfriend again).
Please Please Please (couldn't resist) consider coming down or at least gracing this request thread with a response.
Wednesday would be good because we got full day maintenance on Frostmourne.

It won't happen until 2008 but by then there will hopefully be a much more pleasurable show, thank you.
Japan and Australia are (hopefully) FIRST THING for 2008 along with new albumin.

You lucky people. When are you planned on coming back to the U of K? Specifically Newcastle (which is far better than Sunderland...)? I'd love to see you again, and I'll pay good money.

So Owen; Arcade Fire are gonna be at Big Day Out Festival in Australia in 2008. It's a hideous festival full of drunk abusive bogans, but I imagine they'll be on later at night when everyone's cooled down a little.
That's January/February....technically "first thing" for 2008.
Feel like rejoining forces with them?

it'll be worth it, i'm working on piano parts and the whole thing. i'm sorry. i'd love to visit melbourne and chill with AIH. but it's not going to happen until i have some awesome new tracks.

I'm exceeding pleased for the Oceania people who have had too wait so long to see both Arcade Fire and Final Fantasy ..and whilst I would love to be able to see FF sooner than later, I'd rather the time was used in the studio getting the album finished as I just know it's going to be the best thing yet. |
