Tickets are available at Zulu Records for $15.75. That's the only place I've found tickets. They're probably at Scratch too. Zulu's on W 4th, so you should be able find it easily. And the venue's on UBC campus I think, I'm not sure exactly whereabouts it is.

Hiya all,
I'm Christina--new to SHZine::FF virtuality, but only in deed.

Neat to see all the "Vancouverites" (GVRD-er's?) appear out of the woodwork on this board.

Anyway, here's Help:

1) The entrance to the Norm Theatre is located on the ground floor of the S.tudent U.nion B.uilding. It'll look like a movie theatre, which it is. Doors @ 7 pm; all ages, GA seating.

2) According to www.sealedwithakisspresents.com/index.php, both Zulu and The Outpost in the UBC SUB are now sold out, but a very small number of (advance) tickets are still available at Redcat Records on Main (~$12), and Scratch Records downtown.

3) As for whether tickets will be available at the door, the wording on the SWAK website implies that there should be some available; they state, "advance tickets are sold out at Zulu...".
Question is, how many? I'd recommend getting advance tix, because if the apparent flurry of sales this week is any indication, demand is up there. On the night, lines may be long; you never know.

4) Opening/accompanying acts are Bob Wiseman (ex-Hidden Cameras & many other projects) and The Phonemes. Too cool.

So, I've been working on the crowd-gathering initiative, myself. Got the word out to some writer/musician-folk around town, and to some acquaintances from a former lyrics & libretto class, many of whom, incidentally, already knew of and admired FF. But evidently, this audience has been snowballing nicely on its own.

Regardless of size, though, the Crowd--she will be robust, friendly, & very appreciative.

Quick update, I went to scratch today and got two tickets. From what I could see, there were just a few left, 4 at the most.

Wow, I thought only a handful knew about Final Fantasy, I've been telling everyone to come and get tickets at the door. Woops.

Anyways I'm going to get there early and grab some sweet seats up front. I'm glad I already bought my three tickets.

Another update:

I just called all the retail outlets--all officially sold out of advance tickets EXCEPT Zulu, who have "about a dozen" left.
Record store guys say lots have called about door tickets, so *that* line'll probably be l-o-n-g.

On a tangent, does anyone want to "mobilize" to request (a) specific song(s) of Owen?
(give 'im a bit of a scare through sheer numbers-not that he has to heed any of it)

I'm saving a spot for my two friends once I get in. I guess if you can contact me soon (tonight) I can save a spot for you and claim you're my friends that went to the bathroom or something. I'll be there around 6 I guess. I get off work at 5:30.
