I have a friend in England. She knows Owen exists (ok, I am to blame..) and she likes the few songs I've send her (not the complete albums of course!!!). Yesterday she came up with that Orange ad - this is what she wrote: "Whoa, you know there's this ad on tv. It's for a wireless service provider by the name of Orange. They've put an abs wonderful song in the background. There's this chap singing and I love his voice oh so much. You really should see this. I'm gonna try and find it on youtube. You'd love it!..." This is the short version of what I've got, there was much more (some lines of the song included..) I told her it's Owen and ehm, her reaction was kinda like this: ;D She said now there's no way for her not to buy his albums ;D WELL DONE OWEN! xxx Ariane

They did. But I think they solved it all pretty well..
Owen (on this message board): "My cut of the money is going to Doctors Without Borders. Tomlab are likely giving their cut away as well. I hope everybody is satisfied with this arrangement."

I like that is attracting a lot more people to Owen, but at the same time I think a good percentage of those people will be wankers. It's a nice advert though, classy.

Sorry Gemma, but I'm not sure if people’s personal habits have anything to do with whether they should be allowed to like music or not. If Owen was to become the next Tom Jones wouldn't affect whether I liked the music or not and I'm sure he does a mean "Delilah" anyway

Jo Whiley (*spits at name mention) just talked about the orange advert, explained who FF was and the name of the song!! People have obviously been emailing in about it.
A woman at work just said to me, "julene, have you seen that great advert?"
Oh god. He is going to do so well. Straight down the slippery slope into the mainstream. Quick Owen make a record where you just bash your violin against a pillow so we can keep you to ourselves.

Nah, Owen will never be mainstream. People only like Adventure.exe because it's the most normal, singer-songwritery, pop-ish song he's written. Once they hear the rest of the album, they'll be like, 'Oh...this is weird.' And his artistic integrity will remain intact.
/tongue in cheek
