A friend asked me this question yesterday and without thinking I said
Arthur Russell - A Little Lost
and
Joy Division - Love Will Tear Us Apart
What would be your suggestions?
I wouldn't mind a good The Smiths cover either (Xiu Xiu's version of "Asleep" is very good")

eh the joy division cover sounds a bit hazy, but i would love to see a new order cover. as for the smiths i could see him playing frankly mr. shankly. and of course more mariah carey songs
edit: jessica simpson - a public affair. that would be awesome

I'd like to hear a cover of Xiu Xiu's "I Luv The Valley Oh". I think that could work, maybe increase the tempo on the instrumental bit.

Bloodly unconsiderate of the UK terrorists to get me stuck at a foreign airport when all I want is my home, wife and kids. No planes go or what.
Oh well at least people are safe and the authorities rounded them up.

Yes, the Zelda theme song, or 'Battle with Gilgamesh' from Final Fantasy 5  'Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk' would also sound wonderful if Owen did it, but didn't he hate Rufus Wainwright? |
