The Lily Pad is the new name for the Zeitgeist Gallery in Cambridge. My understanding is that it was the first venue in Boston to have the Arcade Fire perform. On July 10th, 2003, AF, Xiu Xiu, and Devendra Banhart performed in the tiny art gallery. There are some pictures floating around the ol' world wide web, if you're interested in seeing Tim with a buzzcut. Anywho, the Zeitgeist generally didnt permit a cover charge, just a "suggested donation" of $10. I believe the Lily Pad continues to work this way. Is Sept 1 a definite date? The Lily Pad site has nothing listed, and early tour lists said the Boston date would be the 2nd. If this is an official date, please please tell me it is not 18+. I was so depressed when Owen played at TT the Bears, 'cause I couldn't go. So, does anyone know if the Lily Pad is usually all-ages or not? Or if this particular show is going to be all-ages? Thanks. I'd like to know if this is 18+ as well, because I will be super bummed if it is. And the Lily Pad site still doesn't have anything for the 1st and a different act is scheduled for the 2nd.

If the legal drinking age in the US is 21, what's the point in 18+ shows? It makes sense in the UK, because it's connected with the terms of alcohol licenses some venues have, but surely 21+ would be a more logical cut-off in the US.

Logic + U.S. = tend not to go together.
Seriously, though, everything is basically 18+ in Chicago (occasional show excepted) and I'm not anxious to have to wait another three years for most shows.
Plus we like to copy the UK and pretend we're not. It's fun.

I just checked the Lily Pad's website and it has a different show booked for the first. What's going on? Is there going to be a show in Boston (hopefully all-ages)? Where did these dates come from anyway, because on finalfantasyeternal.com it doesn't have half of these dates listed. I'm confused. Owen, what do you know about this mix-up?

Hey guys, don't know if my fellow vancouverites know but Final fantasy is hitting us up at the UBC Norman Theatre..yo. September 19th, $15.75. I'm going to be there front and center, discombobulating Owen with my camera's flash and joyous applause.
Anyone else coming along?

I emailed the guy who does the Lily Pad's booking (the Cambridge, MA show) and he said that if there's nothing on their website about it, it's not happening. So I'm guessing that it was cancelled or something.
"I don't know about those websites but whatever is on our website is what is happening. hope that answers your question."
