Yes, I know so many decent gigs happen near hear, there are some FAB venue's in the Midlands, which is why I can't understand why Owen is avoiding the place Bristol may only be a couple of hours drive (and that both ways = 4 hours driving) but the venue (according the blurb on their website) says that the main band doesn't come on stage until 10.15, and that they close at 11.00, so it's 45 mins MAX ..... PLUS to drive there after work (we get up at 6.00am) would be too much (we're old ya know) So we'd need to take a couple of days holiday really...and I only have 5 floating days from now till next August!!! Mid week is bad! If it was at a weekend it would be a different kettle of fish! i see. well that is unfortunate. personally i'm delighted owen's playing in Bristol, couldn't have hoped for anywhere nearer really. 250-mile round trip but it'll be worth it. it'd be so rubbish to live in canada or america where you can be REALLY far from venues. i'd be really surprised if the main act only got 45 minutes, doesn't sound very likely, even if it is on their website. I'm delighted for you, that he's playing in Bristol, we thought of you as soon as we heard that Canada and America are geared up for travel......the UK is shit to get around I hope it's not true about the 45 mins too.....for your sake, but according to the website it is www.thelouisiana.net (click on Location) Spidey =^..^=

Anyone have any more information about the Sunderland gig? Probably the only one I could manage going to, since it is on a Saturday and I don't know my class schedule yet. (6 hours by train!... ugh. am hoping to convince some friends with vehicles for a road trip). The only website I am coming up with is www.bar36.co.uk/ which hasn't been updated in a few years. Anyone planning on going to this show?

I'm so excited for this tour, really unbelievable. Been watching/listening to all the Final Fantasy stuff I have again, over and over. Owen's such a great musician. Anyways, I discovered a small movie I made last year in Brussels, to be found for your enjoyment right here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtHBFoJ1S70

I watch the dvd of the last uk dates last night and I still wish it was possible to actually capture the true experience as it looks so lame compared with actually being there. But I mustn't complain it's the next best thing.

Really looking forward to Leeds! I've had Ben Kweller and Iain Archer to tide me over but it can't come soon enough.
