To everyone who posted sheet music here and took the pains to figure these out by ear, thank you so much! I am a beginner violinist and have been searching the internet for months for any kind of sheet music to the artists and bands that I like...seems impossible to find! This is the first place I've come across that had anything.
Does anyone know where I might be able to find violin sheet music to any other artists like Arcade Fire, Andrew Bird, Islands...basically any other indie bands that use violin a lot? I'm perfectly willing to buy sheet music if I can just find any. I did find some for Arcade Fire but it only has guitar and piano. I was thinking about trying to figure it out by downloading some midi files and using music software to look at the notes. Has anyone else tried this? My ear isn't nearly good enough yet to pick anything just by listening. I'd really appreciate any advice. Thanks!

He Poos Clouds, for Solo ViolinSo I've really deserve no credit for this, I've just mashed together whats already been made available by Matt and Owen to allow other violinists to give the typical live version of this song a shot. I tore apart the quartet's parts to best match what Owen loops when playing it live. Though I know it's not 'spot on', ehh... it'll work. Finally, an Owen song I'm able to annoy people with when I'm away from a loop pedal! Woah-woo! Also, I can't describe the joys gained from shouting "He Swam!", tremelo bowing in third position, and using your left hand to do open string pizzicatos all at once. ;D Attachments:

Hello everyone I have (I wish I could say 'small' but well... it is not small) request. It is possible to someone write music sheet for violin for E is for Estranged? I know that it would be big project but well... I care about this violin theme only - www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-TStLN2oMg - from 3:05 to 3:50. Pretty please

im guessing that most members have listened to arcade fire's newest record (and if they haven't not only is it amazing, but it also features string work of owen's!). im also guessing that you have heard Empty Room ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJIilmx-wGI ). sooooo, i hate to mooch, but i was wondering if there was anyone who has worked out/wants to arrange some string parts?

You must be mistaken, dear. Final Fantasy is the old moniker of Owen Pallett. This is the thread where we post sheet music of his song. Not sheet music of Final Fantasy games. Sorry, but I really can't help you there. =/ Welcome though (?)

This isn't a violin part, but does anyone know the notes of the bassline in Cockatrice?
Or that violin part near the end of Song Song Song (at about 3.20)?

Not entirely sure exactly how Owen mutes and junks his violin, so here is the barebones version of his unfinished song @ kingston. (Bootleg elsewhere in forum) The bassline after he loops his junked violin: (first measure is a pick-up) The cool pizzicato (then arco at the end) melody: well, um this is the really, really, really, really, really, really old version [lol 2006]. i imagine if you tool around with that, you'll get there eventually. keys may have changed too, i'm too lazy to check
