There will be photos since Caralee's taking a camera, but there won't be 20 tour videos or short epic movies of Caralee searching for a bullfrog.

you know, david wasn't always the tour guy... before him, Freddy Rupert did it once, before that there was a black guy who helped jamie on a few of his solo tours (i'm forgetting his name right now), and before that, i think it was just jamie
it's not really the end of an era... and i have a feeling david will be back

am i the only xiuxiu'er that DOESNT read/like the blog?  honestly, as xiu xiu as one of my favorite bands (top three with xiu xiu and patrick wolf[no order]), and I even think jamie (and the band for that matter) and fantastic, nice, talented people; but I find the blog website and the new t-shirts quite pretentious, although the videos are typically the opposite: them being themselves and having fun; and since the release of fabulous muscles, he's begun to take himself too seriously. his outspoken hate of leaked records for no logical (to me at least) reason, and songs like saturn seem just written for pure provocativity, and the recent "leak it yourself" radiohead copy so soon after in rainbows. I don't mean to flame the band, but just am offering an alternative viewpoint, with no bad intentions. |
