i find those blog posts really embarrassing, especially seeing how they are based on this message board, which is filled by 30 or so (50?) of their most die-hard fans, who basically own anything xiu. maybe it is a good thing that they express this, maybe people don't know this but it just seems lame to me. of course they have daily jobs, of course they are struggling, but who isn't? i'm not saying that this is how it should be, i wish it were different, they have every right to be angry about how things are and maybe the blog posts will make a couple of persons feel guilty and buy the records they have downloaded, but making peope feel guilty is a. going to be more and more difficult and b. a somehow pathetic way of selling cds. what do you think ? i think youre spot-on. |

Someone should start a band called THE CRACK SPIDERS BITCH!
They could play acid house ibiza sorta stuff but have like three acoustic guitar players doing all this really complicated finger plucking folky stuff all over it. All dressed as beefeaters...
That would be da bomb

but for fuck's sake. there's so many things you can bring into that topic that it's not even worth it. in some cases, making profit from art can be a form of just greed.

what about the concert tickets? the cds that everyone will buy ANYWAY? all of us here are die hard fans.

the xiu xiu why? cover is amazing, i hope the songs on the new album are just as electronic and like "small". it sounded so refreshing and sunny.
i hope its not as experimental, and more pop than the usual electro acoustic experimental stuff..
