I took time to read all of the lyrics from summary the other day. Try reading them aloud and then listening to the album it will give you a deeper perspective.

it was pretty fucking stupid, to be quite honest.
i love BARR.
well, I love Brendan I guess.
i didn't like any of the band members, except for the Ethan...
we got to the venue at 8 (advertised time) after driving an hour to get there. venue looks dead.. so we go park and walk up to the door to see whats going down. turns out marnie stern canceled, so im like whatever.. im here to see BARR anyway. we get inside at around 8:05 and the place is dead. we wait literally 3 and a half hours for the first band to play, which was HORRIBLE. BARR finally gets on stage at 12 and plays like 5 songs.
then I check the new bassist's myspace and he made this post:
"Last night we played a pretty dead show but still got paid well, which I suppose is one of the benefits to having a booking agent."
LAME. i didnt wait 5 hours to see BARR play a 5 song setlist with no enthusiasm.
edit // i know i sound whiny, but after 5 hours and 10 dollars you'd be pissed too!
oh and okay okay, the drummer was a cutie too. it's just the bassist that i don't like.
