this is sort of random, but i figured it should go here instead of anywhere else...
what type of music is boris? they're playing here next weekend at a venue that is traditionally kind of punk/metal/hardXXXcore, and i'm curious if that's what they play because if so i may not want to go...i'll probably go anyway because a friend from out of town is coming down just to see them, but i just want to know what i'm in for......

Boris are a Japanese sludge/doom/drone band. Their music usually consists of some really low end riffs that repeat for quite a few minutes. Their latest album however is pretty out there, it's like a Japanese Motorhead. They tend to always change up their sound. Either way you're in for a loud ass fucking show if you go with him. There should be no moshers or anything like that, Boris fans are usually pretty cool, which is why I'm guessing your friend is travelling so far to see them. Good luck if you do go.
