My first response was shocked. Shocked! And then pleased. Very pleased. I would feel imprudent saying it is better or worse than any previous record, but I cannot fathom anyone being disappointed. Without getting into specifics, the ending of one of the songs is the most wonderful I have ever heard from a Xiu Xiu record.
