Frog Eyes are from Victoria BC which is "weird" so a little hyperbole is acceptable, I think.
But come on come on come on! Aren't Frog Eyes THE BEST?!?!? Mel is one of "the great drummers". And Carey! So amazing! What's wrong with you?
Xiu Xiu Frog Eyes is the most inspired double bill I could think of (except maybe Destroyer Current 93) so let's hear it! DID YOU LOVE IT?!?!?

take the trolly, somewhre cool in town, treat yourself to a nice meal. then go to amoeba, then after that follow the map that's in the the XITSJ record. sweet!

frog eyes are my favorite band too. when i saw 'em with xiu xiu in toronto, i could only stand for the frog eyes set. i was too tired after a day of walking around, and xiu xiu weren't really "on" that night anyway, so i sat down back in the bar section of the place. i also got to talk to frog eyes, mostly the drummer, and that made my night. i think she was touched when i said i drove all the way from pennsylvania just to see them.
