Wrong. Dead Science are hard-working gentleman who produce wonderful live shows and I can't wait to hear the new record. im not going to buy your record now. i was, but that comment was offensive. ill buy an extra copy and give it to a friend as a gift then.

Oh I remember how hard that song rocked live...this sounds a pinch underproduced, almost like a demo. But the Dead Science are so fucking underrated, they make better music and play their instruments with more discipline and passion than almost anyone else in the Northwest.
I can't find any or music on Cloud of Blood, I missed their first show, and want to learn more. Can anyone of you point me in the right direction?

Pitchfork just posted a review today of "Frost Giant." It's weird... all he can talk about is how much they sound like Xiu Xiu.
I haven't heard the record yet, but they don't sound too similar live, at least to me. The vocals have a lot in common, I guess.
What does everyone think?

the first time i saw the dead science live, all i could think about was "wow, these guys are like xiu xiu clones, without the synth, and without the good song writing". so yeah, i always thought his vocals were especially similar.

that band sounds straight like "Easter Everywhere"-era 13th Floor or the Ordo Templi Orientis or some shit. people need to listen to that record.

Hm. the thing that most struck me about them was that they were obviously jazz-schooled musicians playing weird, dark, somewhat improvised rock music.
Xiu Xiu definitely doesn't come from a jazz or improvisational background at all.
I think it's probably the singing that makes people make the connection. Most people get hung up on listening to vocals when they define shit.
I'm soooo fucking excited to see both bands, together!, in Austin.
