I love xiu xiu as much as the next guy, but why the hell was this so damned expensive? As I heard them explain it, it was because of the extensive artwork etc., but it's just a couple of white sleeves with minimal screenprinting. And colored vinyl doesn't cost that damn much. Maybe the ribbons are super expensive.

I guess it's already going for $70 on ebay with four days to go, so perhaps they wanted to make sure that they made more money, not just shmucks that buy records at shows to immediately sell on ebay.
