apistat, i know it's not my business, but don't you think that that image is very personal to jamie? i mean, it was the picture he took on a spirtually enlightening trip to vietnam, i believe. i don't know, i just think it's not the xiu xiu image to get tatooed, but then again i don't know you and i don't know how/why the picture affects you.

yeah, i do know the story behind that cover. and his music IS super personal to me, but that's why we're all here.
it's more of a promise tattoo than a xiu xiu tattoo. which is why i chose the man from vietnam to be marked on my body.
even with that said, i don't think the man himself is personal to jamie. it was the whole experience. a very random, depressing, and incredible experience. it could have been any guy in that room with him.
i mean... there is a limit, though. i wouldn't get a face of one of jamie's friends marked on my body. but i think this is a definite exception.

i also think jamie is a very open guy, he rarely snaps at much of anything when questioned, and i think hed be perfectly fine if it came to a tattoo of an album cover on someone theres really nothing wrong with it i think. id get the cartoon inset of knifeplay on my back |

When I think of getting a Xiu Xiu tattoo the A Promise album cover never comes to mind. Much like the person above me I have long wanted a portion of the Knife Play cartoon inset but never knew of the proper place to put it. But now that I think about it the outcome of your tattoo should be very impressive. I'm also very excited to see how it turns out.
