I live in Italy but I'll buy the dvd for sure!!!I really hope it will be relased because I want everything about xiu xiu since I saw jamie stweart live here in Italy..........

Good news!!! We just heard back from Xiu Xiu and they fully support the DVD idea! But James did suggest we contact Kill Rock Stars, just in case. We'll do our best to keep you up-to-date on the status! Right now we're in the middle of a HUGE 16mm music video production for a local band: Warren Jackson Hearne and the Merrie Murdre of Gloomadeers. More good news: we have now, also gotten the "go ahead" from Kill Rock Stars! As soon as we finish our current projects, we'll begin editing the rest of the Xiu Xiu show. I'm absolutely terrible at estimating the time it takes to complete things, but I feel we should have something ready by late August or September.
Also, unless we hear from about 417 more people before then...we'll have to release a DVD-R instead of a pressed DVD. That won't make a difference to most people, but I felt that I had to mention it anyway. :-)
Keep spreading the word!!! (and THANKS for the support!)

We're getting really close to finishing this DVD! And it's definitely exciting! We're going to need a little help, though...there're a few songs we haven't figured out. Does anyone out there have the setlist from this Denton, TX show? Spring '04? Or is anyone willing to listen to some mp3s of our recordings and tell us which song is which? Please let us know!

After checking out the Xiu Xiu video, you should check out the Bonfire Madigan video. She's a wonderful cellist with a beautiful voice, and the song is great (or at least once it really gets going, about a minute-and-a-half in).
