i just got back from a casiotone for the painfully alone show, and he told me that this time it's jamie solo. but electric.

so i made it to the show i flipped about.. <3 it was absolutely splendid. it was just jamie. and the emotion.. and how intimate the whole show was.. it was seriously the greatest show ive seen in all my years of seeing bands live. i cannot wait to enjoy some more xiu xiu shows. also the band who opened, the new demand.. from providence. they only have six songs. BLEW ME AWAY! second band.. eh, i couldve done without.

word up. i hit up the cambridge show and the providence show. i figured it would be worth taking in twice and it was, especially because he played i broke up in providence and suha in cambridge. it was damn good business... and finally getting my hands on a copy of ten in the swear jar doesnt have me complaining by any means. writing a paper that is due tomorrow on the otherhand...

i saw xiu xiu play in victoria a long while ago.. but i lived on the mainland and it cost $100 to take a trip there... i think they played vancouver on a recent tour as well.. but now that i'm in toronto.. there is indeed a lack of presence felt as the band always skims by to play in new york.

Yes! Toronto fans unite!
Hello?!? There are more Xiu Xiu fans in Toronto than in the rest of the world.
(Thanks largely to our high population of sensitive waiters and record store workers.)
I tried to pursuade Ryan his booker to get him up here but it wasn't working.
