lets set chris on fire. he likes metal. Even though i don't agree with his opinions 100%, i love chris dearly because at least he has the balls to make a honest, controversial post that gets a discussion going, instead of your safe, cliche, watered down rants. it was all planned out by the almighty chris. Mat my friend, you bit the bait. good on you. now sit back assured that you have made an excellent comeback that i agree with almost entirely. but to say that chris is ignorant is waaay off. and i still dont know what you meant by that whole "slut" business. rants are funny. i love canada. i love it enough to want to change it...and beyond. pissboy, i always found that personal politics can do a fuck of a lot more. i think you know what i mean. good night. Chris' blunt honesty is what will save us all. i said it before and i'll say it again...Chris is my god. Oh, and by the way, the Natives have been raped for years and years and years and they will never be happy with what they've got. perhaps its time to move on. after all, i guess it must be hard to look back and move forward at the same time. have a good one and think outside the box. its late and my tea and jazz records are calling me.

The fact of the matter is everyone is getting fucked over all the time. What is the best solution to mend the injustices to the natives? Do you really think the Canadian government really gives a shit anymore?

That's the thing. They never did and they never will. They're constantly rescheduling and postponing court dates in the hopes that the people will die off. It happened to an old native man I knew.
It's just not right. Our fucking Country isn't what it seems.

I'm not that bored, well considering I wouldn't be here if I had something to do... I'm not depressed at all. Sure, I can see how someone in this kind of discussion would come across as depressed. They usually look at what's wrong with everything, which is quite alot of shit. The world's fucked up... why don't we just get on with our lives.
Yes, it would be cool to make a change. The problem is what do you change? Better yet, tell me an effective means of creating such.

assimilation act. residential schooling.
we're now in the renaissance of decolonialisation, believe it or not... i guess the question is whether or not we can really un-fuck the damage we have already caused. did you guys know that BC is one of the most linguistically diverse parts of the world? - over 26 different languages are spoken here.
you cannot argue in favour of european dominance, or the systematic destruction of native culture. you also cannot right the wrongs of the past by throwing money at them.

Yeah, I agree with you on that note. How satisfying is playing the Natives millions of dollars going to be to them? It's pretty much the opposite of what they want. They don't want to be further assimilated into this bullshit way of life. Even though it's innevitable.
Keep in mind people, these topics are 3D... just because I see something differently than you doesn't mean its necessarily wrong.

I don't think anyone is saying you're wrong. Just some people come off pretty strongly when they're passionate about something.

Well, I think that world would be exciting and full on yummy cream filling. I'm going to have to put Canada and America into a nutshell here because I have to get to class in a second. Churchill put it best when he described democracy. He said something to the effect that democracy is the worst thing on earth... right behind all the other forms of goverment. We should never forget the past so we can avoid letting history repeat its self. But, America and Canada aren't exactly the worst nations on the planet.
