i checked out the link but it's the wrong episode. i think they took owen's ep off after it aired, but just in case it's called "a pilgrim's progress" if you can find it.
if i weren't a technological retard i'd find a way to get it from tape to hard drive but.......
suggestions?

My take on the program is that whilst Owen was taking about the social aspects of condo building, Mr Lamb talks in terms of conversion work rather than small units in blocks. This is all set against a background of poor Mr Architect trying to re-generate a lane (whoops sorry street). The problem of planning permission for conversion work for 8 town houses seems unrelated to tearing down to build large unit condos. Watching this blind, you'd have to side with Mr developer (look at the mess the neighbours are making, shouldn't we do something about this) than the musican who is complaining about it.
Arhhh but that's the idea isn't it.
It was great to watch, but warped in the extreme.

now that my massive hangover has all but subsided, i've gotta say that while i agree with jules that this show is warped (it's reality tv, which is always kind of sickening) i'd still like to say a few more things about this episode...
firstly, most of the people i talked to seemed to feel that owen came off rather well, especially considering that the show is focussed on brad lamb. i thought owen's interview was articulate and he seemed well-informed. it was interesting that although brad was given the opportunity to refute owen's claims that he's building sub-par condos, he doesn't give much of a defense beyond saying that they're "better". hmmm.... really? why? and his statement that "progress is inevitable" is true of course, but progress doesn't necessarily equal improvement, right? very funny! it really did seem like mr. lamb missed the whole point of what owen was trying to say, but i felt like the producers of the program were kind of subtly showing that as well. (i also liked how they kept showing the album, & playing the song & really seemed to kind of be promoting it a bit!)
also, i took an immediate dislike to Poor Mr. Architect due to his supervillain eyebrows (how shallow of me!) & he probably had the same effect on the neighbours. how can you trust a man that looks like he's building a super weapon to control the earth? Muahahaha!!!
i do have to give some kudos to mr lamb for the way he handled the very cutting lyrics, even if they weren't directed to him *personally*. (haha! really?) he comes off as a rather angry man in other episodes so maybe his anger at the world hearing of his impotence was tempered by the fact that the song also mentions his "massive genitals"!
Best Quote = "ghettos for yuppies"
brilliant! loved it!

Muahahaha!!! Ha ha! Fantastic! I actually rather liked Poor Mr. ArchNemesisofalltheingsGoodandHoly, but then, I'm easy to win a sympathy vote from. I was slightly frustrated by Mr. Lamb appearing to refuse to take Owen seriously (I assume that was why he failed to argue his side of things). I'd also have liked to see them meet. Mr. lamb could have got all angry and Owen could have violined him and that would make for some superb telly!
