Hi- I didn't know you wrote for Stylus. That's one of the sites my music site is sort of modeled on. I'm techincally at work right now so I could only give your review a quick read and I just got Fag Patrol yesterday so I'll have to listen more before I can offer any specific commentary, but it was a good read!

i just read it, and i was really impressed. you obviously had a good foundation in the other albums, and i like the fact that you basically said "this is for fans," which i think it is.
now you need to get someone to fix that horrendous review of knife play :)

now you need to get someone to fix that horrendous review of knife play Yeah, well, not everyone is going to love them. I disagree with her, but I still think it's a good review. And thanks for the comments. I think I might have rated it a bit too high, but seeing as I'd probably give "Knife Play" a 9.8 and "A Promise" a 8.7 or something, it's apt. Shrug.

actually, i thought it was a pretty good review too, and i was shocked at the low rating. i mean, any music that gathered that strong of a reaction from me would have gotten higher than a 5. but she just drops off after the "i broke up" stuff. i feel that if you are going to give an album a poor rating, you should at least tear it apart and clarify what it is that you dislike, rather than say "It’s one of the most effective moments on the album. Unfortunately, there aren’t many more. " of course, it's not your review, and i shouldn't bitch at you :) great analysis of fag patrol though
