This is probably a stupid comment, but I never see activism accomplish anything.

feminism sucks. it's supposed to be a movement to create equality but it's fundamentally flawed. it's simply people reaffirming that there is infact a difference.

yeah, but men and women ARE different in more ways that penis' and vaginas.. the point is to respect the equilibrium between men and women and not devoid us of masculinity and feminity

maybe so, and it would be a beautiful change if that dogma was identical to what's for model from it, but it seems that to most people who adopt feminism, that equilibrium would sooner be ignored than respected.

I think it depends on what kind of feminist you are thinking of. There are definitely those feminists who are extremists and it seems as if their goal is to make men as inferior to women, as women were to men in the past. However, if you were to look at a tamed-down version of the aforementioned feminist, you would find that many are trying to affirm equality of the sexes - which is especially predominant in the middle east. I think that there are plenty of feminists who are respectful of the equilibrium, but more often than not those who are not (especially man-haters), are glorified in the media.

that was what i meant by being a feminist, as oposed to being a feminist activist ...haha whatever
but yeah basically what i was getting at is the whole le tigre thing pisses me off, i mean they're great to dance too, but i get this impression of their advertising feminism to be the next... genre shit. ie: straight edge
its great to support women in their accomplishing equality but its allready been achieved, the next step would be female supremacy, and then it would be another fight all over again.
(pardon my spelling its horrible)
what exactly are your example of man haters that are praised in the media?
i can think of lesbian celebritys but none who are man haters other than le tigre.
