nihilism is not a valid belief system in my opinion because it's too self-centered. i believe that the ideal religion allows you to non-selfishly achieve your maximum potential through desirelessness and as a result creates social harmony.
nihilism seems to make love impossible and without love we are shitfaced and doomed for extinction.
