this seems like a fairly obvious thing to be posting about but it may stimulate some good convo. hot or not? i thought it was pretty fantastic overall, however i thought mel was being too presumptuous that the movie's audiences would know what was going on. i hope they make more bigass epic religious flicks. ghandi was fucking awesome, although not very mythological. how bout one on mohammed? although that may not suit the waspish north american audiences very well...
oh, did anyone else want to get down and dirty with mary magdalene? sooo hot.

go get mo' hammered somewhere else.
the movie is amazing. i personally think every christian should see this movie, to visually experience the story...it adds so much to see with my own eyes, my (or yours) christ being crucified.

The movie was amazing, and I liked the fact that they had subtitles instead of translating it into English. It made it seem a lot more authentic to me. I've seen a lot of reviews complaining that the whole movie was violence with no point to it and that struck me as being incredibly stupid since pretty much the entire point of the movie was to portray what Jesus had to go through... Would they have liked it to show Him skipping around on fluffy pink clouds and singing? I'm sure that would have enforced a lot of peoples' beliefs Yeah, it was violent, but it didn't bug me. Except when his skin was coming out in chunks and my friend offered me popcorn. That was a bit much. I think it's important for any Christian to see it, there's a big difference between actually seeing all of the blood and trial and reading it. It makes it a lot clearer how much of a sacrifice it was. And no, I didn't feel like getting down and dirty with Mary Magdalene. But then again I'm a straight female and I wasn't looking much at looks anyhow. Oh, but the friend who offered me popcorn agrees with you about her. So I'll just take your word for it.

oh, did anyone else want to get down and dirty with mary magdalene? sooo hot. haha. that reminds me of when i used to have a crush on the teenage moses in that "prince of egypt" movie. good times! i saw "the passion" with my mom.. and i noticed half way through that she was all curled up in a little ball, leaning up against the wall of the theater.. with her hood over her head. sometimes seeing stuff like that is hard to handle.

i had this dream when i was five about waking up in my room and the door was closed (which it never was) and i couldn't see anything. i lived on an old ass farm where there was only 6 houses on my street which were separated by a ten minute walk each. it was all dark and i started feeling around the walls and inching my way sideways until BAM! i was standing right in front of my window where i could see this big glowing circle above my chimney. i started screaming and my parents came in the room. i tried to tell them about it and they said it was just a cheerio that got stuck on the roof. i was panic stricken but they tucked me back in bed and left the room, with the door open this time. then this wind started blowing and my blankets and sheets started to fly out the bedroom door, and the wind kept getting stronger and stronger until i was getting pulled out of bed. i held onto my bed post, and i lost my grip and got sucked out of the room, down the staircase, through the kitchen and down the basement steps, all by this tremendous wind. in the basement of this house there was no floor, literally only dirt, a few old filing cabinets by one of the walls and a staircase landing in the dead center of the room. the only light was a single hanging bulb from the ceiling with a piece of string to turn it on. a terrifying, yet stimulating place to grow up, i can assure you. so anyways, i'm now in the basement, paralyzed with fear and i hear this breathing getting closer and closer. Then i shoot up in my bed in reality and i frantically survey the scene while my eyes are adjusting. i see no light coming from the bathroom because i realize, the door is closed. i start to panic and feel around the nearest wall for the door, inching sideways when what do i find myself standing right in front of? that damn window. i start screaming and my parents come in. no glowing cheerio this time however.
