So my roommate is doing some sort of ab workout on the floor and it sounds like he's about to roll over on his stomach and just die. I'll take 'Things that make me never ever want to exercise, ever' for $500, Alex.

Start sneaking lard into his food. I'm not sure why, but do.

the fact that it's fun to watch people unknowingly get fat should suffice as a reason :P

I saw something about this yesterday, and it's terrifying. The best we've got over here is the London Eye and that's more than enough for me.

What about THE SHARD? You should be able to bungee jump off that building.

Ahh yes, The Shard is shaping up nicely. I can see it from the end of my street

When I was in London a few months ago I met this guy who used to be a London tour guide and he gave me the whole backstory on The Shard about how it was named after people's complaints; it was ridiculous, I love it.

And I suppose you could tell yourself you were doing it for science or something.

Does anyone know of any open homes, squatter's gatherings, or badass hostels in Toronto, open to a mild-mannered trans carpenter pianist lady?

Watch out! It seems as though it is about to rush into the darkness where you are sitting and reduce you to a mangled sack of skin, full of crumpled flesh and splintered bones, and destroy this hall and this building, so full of wine, women, music and vice, and transform it into fragments and into dust. But this, too, is merely a train of shadows.

"SHE DOESN'T EVEN GO HERE" would justify that whole movie, even if the rest of it sucked, which it doesn't. #GoMeanGirls

Worth saying, Mr. Pallett features fairly prominently in a MuchMusic thing about Arcade Fire.

I enjoy Damian Abraham.

Hey guys! Despite not really posting here in a while, I still check daily and so I'm gonna try to start contributing again, 'cause I've missed you all! The reason I am posting this though, is that: I used to "contribute" somewhat frequently to the notes/tabs/chords transcriptions, and, looking back, most of it was completely wrong! I was one of those self-importantly naive "I dont need to know theory to write good music" people, and that was just a poor way of thought! To cope with various health issues I've been doing more music as a sort of soothing therapy, and learning a ton of theory and practicing singing/playing instruments, but, what would be the best way to get rid of (or cover up) those many poorly-done transcriptions? you can find these pages on google now and I don't want people to think I'm still so tone deaf! :-X

I think you can modify or delete your posts, there's an option at the top beside "quote". :)

I got to introduce a composer friend to Owen's music today, it made me so happy. I was trying to explain how I wanted the backing vocals on a song to be all shouty.

Owen et les mouches debuted two new songs last night. I don't know what they're called, but one involved running a bayonet through your brother's stomach and the other was just too titillating to decipher. After the second song I thought "CAN THEY DO THAT!?" Looking forward to hearing those again.

I still don't know anything about music.
