This may have already been mentioned, but i couldn't find anything about it.

Is it due out late 2007 or in 2008 because ive read a few different things, such as...

http://musicslut.blogspot.com/2007/07/fi....ed-back-to.html

If this is true, it is greatly upsetting, but i'm sure it'll be well worth the wait!!

If this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWUTA7WCjf8 is any indication of how good Heartland is going to be, it is SOOOO worth the wait. "The Butcher" is so beautiful!

And didn't Owen say something about trying not to really set any deadlines?

If I had to guess, I'd go with what the article said and say mid-2008.

It's all here. I'm not surprised you didn't find it, though, seeing as it's buried on the third page.

I think he said mid-2008 on a recent interview on CBC Radio with...uh...Jian Ghomeshi, maybe? It was at the Calgary Folk Festival, I know that. Maybe.
I'm possibly too excited about this.

aha, i love how he says "Blamo" in the video. I'm guessing he definitely loves that word. (said it a few times at calgary folk fest... haha)

also, holy crap, so in love with The Butcher.

It's not suprising that the release is delayed till next year as Owen has been involved with other things and touring. I'm happy to wait if the results are going to be as good as hinted at with songs played and heard

Is there going to be a EP released prior to the album? or just a single? or nothing at all?

edit: oh, and will I ever be able to find a good quality version of Owen's cover of 'This Modern Love'? (that would make a great bonus track ;D )

Let him take his time, it's gonna be great but I'll admit the anticipation at times is eating me alive. I was really hoping for a fix with his EP but I am also curious as to what happened to it. The title was gonna be Spectrum, 14th Century and it was gonna have 6 tracks. that's more than an EP. We'll just have to wait and see. In the mean time I'll hope he plays in Utah. Salt Lake City or Provo, I promise any assumptions of the state being totally mormon are completely true hence most people are nice here. so come out, I invite you all to enjoy the mountains and kim peek at our library seriously amazing.

Very much agreed, especially when understanding the deviant nature of creation.

It wouldnt bother me if it didnt come out for another couple years. HAGH showed what he is capable of doing quickly, i'd like to hear something that's 3 years in the workings.

Well it's near past spring 0f 2008 with no news concerning heartland so who knows when to expect it but what about the EP's? Where are they? I don't mind waiting either but this false hope is killing my heart..... my lionheart......
